RNA & APL staff raise funds for the UHB Charity by climbing Snowdon

The members of RNA and APL teams recently took on the Snowdon Challenge to support our chosen charity for the year, the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity. On Saturday 8th of July, the team successfully conquered the highest peak in Wales and England, standing at 1085 metres, as part of their efforts to raise funds for the charity.

While some team members arrived on Friday evening, others had an early start to ensure they reached the meeting point at Pen y Pass by 9:00 am after a drive of over 3 hours to Snowdon. We chose the Snowdon Miners Path for the ascent which was very challenging with some very rocky sections and intermittent steep inclines. Walking up Snowdon, the team encountered wet and windy weather. Once at the summit, We took around an hour break and made our descent along the same path.

We are truly grateful to everyone who has supported us and our JustGiving total currently stands at £1,275 which is incredible and will go to supporting University Hospitals Birmingham Charity. https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/RNAautomation2023
