Solution

The multi-lane linear system FlexType™ M is designed to feed M8 nuts. The system comprises a hopper, a bowl feeder, a linear feeder, and at the end of the feed system, an escapement to separate the component parts before they are individually fed to the press die.

Bulk Storage Hopper

The hopper is used to store and transfer component parts into the vibratory bowl feeder.

Bowl Feeder

A vibratory bowl feeder is tooled to sort and feed the component parts into lanes before transferring them to the linear out-feeds.

Linear Feeder

Fitted with a four lane tooled track approximately 800 mm in length and four high level sensors, one per lane, the linear uses vibration to feed the streams of parts into the escapement. Only parts that are the correct way up are fed down the linear.

Side Shuttle Blow Feed Escapement

Pneumatically operated blow feed escapement will separate and blow feed four component parts into the press.
