New feeding systems bring fast changeover and ultra-flexibility

RNA has launched a new range of automated part feeding systems aimed specifically at customers who need equipment, which is flexible enough to meet today’s manufacturing demands. Often this will mean frequent change over, as batch sizes become smaller and also the ability to cater for of new product variations.

RNA has addressed these issues by creating a range, which can handle component “families” in the same machine, or if this is not possible, incorporating fast and easy changeover.

This new product category comes in two variations, FLEXTYPE L/M/S/C which can feed and orientate irregular shaped parts at high speeds and if required, in multi-lanes and FLEXTYPE R which presents components to a robot in a condition which enhances the efficiency of the robot pick rate.

Although based on a standard template, these machines are scalable and can be customised to meet the specific needs of the customer.

LINEAR FEEDING UNITS (FLEXTYPE L/M/S/C)

An RNA patented linear system with very smooth feed characteristics and “snap on/snap off” tooling. These high speed machines are also available in a Catamaran variant.

These systems can separate, orientate and condition parts ahead of camera assisted robot picking. The machine pictured right incorporates a patented controlled “spreading” plate to separate small parts.
