Solution

The bowl feeder system is designed to automatically sort and feed switch bodies onto a 8-station indexer for printing and unloading. The feeding system comprises a hopper, bowl feeder and a linear feeder.

Bulk Storage Hopper

A 250-litre hopper is loaded manually with 1 variant of component. The hopper can store approximately 1 hours’ worth of production. The hopper loads the bowl feeder on demand with components.

Vibratory Bowl Feeder

Vibratory sorting bowl is tooled to feed and orientate component parts out in single file onto the linear.

Linear Feeder

The linear feeder accepts components from the exit of the bowl feeder in an orderly manner and transports them to the escapement.
