Product packaging is a critical item for any food processing company; it is used as a marketing tool and also serves its main function of sealing the product for transportation and shelf lif.

Traditionally food processing companies have utilised manually loaded wrapping and sealing machines, especially for flexible packets such as cereal or fruit bars. Manually loaded machines although flexible are labour intensive, slow and costly.

Retirement News

A valued member of the RNA team for over 12 years, Carol Gauntlett retired at the end of 2009.

Carol who joined RNA in 1997 as a cleaner, went on to do many other things, but decided it was time to hang up her coat and retire when shereached her 61st birthday.

RNA set pace for Whizz-Kidz

Members of RNA entered a team for the 7th Great Midlands Fun Run on Sunday 31st May. The team consisting of Stuart Brettell Managing Director, Andy Carter Electrical Manager and Andy Perks Sales Manager volunteered to participate in the 8.5 mile event and raise money for Whizz-Kidz, a national charity that helps disabled children become more active and independent.

Oil prices standing at record levels, stock market gyrations, the sub-prime and banking crisis, housing market headed south and that harbinger of uncertain times, the gold price at a new peak; hardly an indication of propitious times ahead. Nevertheless, the recession much forecasted, refuses to arrive and whilst a downturn in economic activity seems inevitable, let us hope that the worst case scenarios of the doom-mongers are avoided.
