Bowl “B”: Axis vertical, radius to radius, open side below. Snap Cap – hinge to bowl wall.

Solution

The vibratory bowl feed system is designed to automatically sort and feed four cap variants. The feed system comprises a bowl feeder, a linear feeder, and at the end of the system, escapements to separate the component parts. Changeover between component parts are accommodated via adjustable tooling within the 2 quick release interchangeable bowl tops, and interchangeable linear out-feed tooling.

Bowl Feeder

A vibratory bowl feeder is tooled to sort and feed the component parts before transferring them to the linear out-feeds.

Linear Feeder

Fitted with a tooled track, the linear uses vibration to feed the stream of parts into the escapement.

Escapements and Nests

4 Escapements – The escapement presents 2 components at a time for collection by customer’s handling mechanism. Changeover between components is accommodated via interchangeable top plates.
