Bowl Feeder to Feed and Orient Brass Inserts

RNA Vibratory bowl feeding and handling systems to feed and orient Brass Inserts

Product:

Brass Inserts

Orientation:

Component parts are discharged single file, vertical axis, all in the same direction.

Speed:

16 components per minute

Key features:

● Cylindrical bowl
● PU200 polyurethane coating
● Smooth and gentle handling

Solution

The bowl feeder system is designed to automatically sort and feed brass inserts. The system includes a bowl feeder, a linear feeder, and at the end of the feed system, an escapement that separates the component parts for pickup by the loading robot.

Vibratory Bowl Feeder

A vibratory sorting bowl is tooled to sort and feed the brass inserts.

Linear Feeder

The linear out-feed is fitted with tooled side guides approximately 300 mm in length. The parts are fed in single file onto a vibratory linear with the head at the top for transporting to the 3-position escapement unit.

Side Shuttle Escapement

The pneumatically operated side shuttle escapement separates and presents 2 parts at a time, then loads an additional pocket in the escapement for collection by robot.
