Southern Manufacturing 2012 Show Review

The recent Southern Manufacturing show proved to be very successful, with a good number of interesting enquires. Many visitors were initially attracted to the stand by our on-site vision robotic system picking various types of poker chips.
The high speed, compact robotic system was developed and launched by RNA for handling small to medium size components with speeds of up to 200 cycles per minute. This compact design allows the smallest parallel-link robots able to gently handle a wide variety of components (up to 0.5kg) for inspection, sorting, loading and assembly.
‘The vision robotic system is currently in use in a number of applications combined with RNA bowl feeding systems. The systems strength lies in its modular standardised construction and flexibility giving future proof automation.’ commented sales manager Andy Perks.
Also on the stand was RNA’s compact bowl feeder feeding Ø 50 mm electrical caps, visitors commented on the low noise and minimal vibration achieved from a bowl feeding system.. RNA have the expertise in designing and manufacturing quality custom vibratory bowl feeders from 69mm up to 1200mm in diameter.
The Southern Manufacturing show proved to be a success by its excellent visitor numbers, quality and diversity of enquiries. To date RNA have consulted on and found technical solutions for over twenty bespoke applications.
