RNA apprentice reaches two finals!

Davina Kaur Apprentice Engineer - RNA Automation LtdDavina Kaur has been nominated as a finalist in both the ‘Semta Skills Awards 2020’ and the ‘GTA National Apprentice Award’.

We are extremely proud to announce that our Apprentice Engineer Davina Kaur, has been named a finalist at the Semta Skills Awards 2020 in the category ‘SME Apprentice of the Year’.

The Semta Skills Awards recognises the talented individuals and companies that make the advanced manufacturing and engineering sector amongst the highest skilled sectors in the UK. Fourteen awards will be presented to individuals, training providers and employers, recognising their achievements and contributions to supporting skills development within the UK advanced manufacturing and engineering sector. The winners will be announced at a red carpet awards ceremony in London on 19th March 2020.

Davina has also made the finalist shortlist for the ‘GTA National Apprentice Award-Best Newcomer in Engineering’. GTA England is a national network of high quality, employer governed delivery organisations consisting of over 33 members. The awards showcases the best in class from the 24,000 employers and 12,500 apprentices across England. The awards ceremony will be held on the evening of 19th February 2020 in Westminster, London.

On nomination, Davina said “I am delighted to have been nominated for this award because it makes me feel like all those months of hard work and dedication have paid off, and its proof that hard work can be completely transformative in all aspects of your life.”

“Winning would feel surreal because I’ve come such a long way and overcome so many challenges and doubts. This would be an award to be shared by the collection of people who have supported me on my journey – without them I wouldn’t be here, let alone in a position to enjoy this kind of success and achievement.”
